The beauty and challenge of the course coupled with the hospitality you'll receive will bring you back again and again.

Navigate Coastal Charm and Marshland Hazards at The Pearl Golf Links

Nestled along the beautiful Calabash River, The Pearl Golf Links’ East, West and North golf courses always deliver a unique and memorable golfing experience to all who visit. A traditional layout with a hint of Coastal charm is evident on each of these 9-holes designs. Laid out over 900 acres of wetlands, virtually every hole at The Pearl features some sort of water hazard. Be prepared to face a wide variety of holes that put your game to the test.

While each 9-hole design boasts its own glowing reputation, the East Course in particular has garnered a high share of honors. Shortly after its opening in 1987, the East Course was awarded a four-star rating in 2008 by Golf Digest in its "Places to Play” guide. Well-groomed fairways paired with scenic vistas of salt marshes along the Calabash River also helped earn this course a nomination for "Best New Courses to Play in America” by Golf Digest.

The links-style layout of The Pearl’s West Course showcases holes that integrate the natural setting of marshes and forests into each hole. Pampas grass carefully dots the fairways that lead up to sweeping greens that are perfectly manicured. Another unique feature of the West Course is its abundance of wildlife, and players may encounter a mix of seagulls, alligators, and other species of the native marshlands while traversing this compelling nine-hole stretch.

The North Course also utilizes a more links-style layout with wider, more forgiving fairways and large greens. Unlike its sister courses, almost every hole on the course is a dogleg that requires near-perfect accuracy. Similarities include holes that reside parallel to the Calabash River and demanding approach shots into each green.

The Pearl’s well-earned reputation as a premier golf destination is built around the careful design of Dan Maples that incorporates the natural allure of marshlands, forests, and the Calabash River into each 9-hole layout. Be sure to keep them at the forefront of your Myrtle Beach golf trip planning!
