Instead of slicing it on the course, check out these pizza spots during your fall golf vacation
When planning a Myrtle Beach golf getaway with MBGolf.com and Condo-World, there’s a lot to consider. Some members of your group may want to play courses on the North Strand. Others will prefer courses on the South Strand. Maybe part of your group wants to stay in a Condo-World property on the ocean while others would prefer staying in a golf villa with easy access to the courses you’ll be playing. Whatever your group’s preferences, there is one thing every person will agree on:
Pizza is the best post-round meal.
Good thing Myrtle Beach has a lot of it. Whether you’re a pizza traditionalist or prefer something more contemporary, there is a spot for pizza somewhere on the Grand Strand to satisfy each and every appetite. Here’s just a sampling:
AJ’s Pizza, located on North Kings Highway near downtown, offers a wide selection of appetizers, salads, specialty, vegetarian and make-your-own pizzas, wraps, oven-baked subs, pasta and desserts. A popular favorite on the menu is the Supreme, with mushrooms, yellow onions, green peppers, black olives, ground beef, pork, Italian sausage, ham, Gouda cheese, parmesan and pepperoni. The crust is perfectly baked – doughy – yet with just the right amount of crunch, making for the perfect bite of pizza every time.
Another delicious place to grab a slice is Ducatis Pizzeria & Trattoria in central Myrtle Beach. Located in the shopping center across the street from Grande Dunes, Ducatis specializes in wood oven-baked pizza that is the best type of crispy, with a menu featuring everything from seafood dishes to pasta dinners. Their Stromboli, calzones and rolls are baked to perfection, and pair ideally with their pizza sauce for dipping.
Toffino’s Italian Bakery Deli Pizza has been a Myrtle Beach institution since it opened near the airport in 1992. Crafting traditional Italian pastries, breads and much more from scratch, their menu (click “menu” at top of home page) uses family recipes dating back to 1890. At Toffino’s, you will find Myrtle Beach’s best cannoli, biscotti and Italian cookies, bar none.
Whatever kind of pizza you prefer, there’s something for everyone in Myrtle Beach. So, get down here and grab yourself a slice. What are you waiting for?
