Get to know Heather Royer:
How long have you been at Condo World and what do you like most?
“I joined Condo World in July of 2017 and was hired as the Golf Sales Manager. Before that, I worked for five years as a golf director for another company.
I enjoy every aspect of my job. What I love most is talking golf every single day. Golf has been part of my life since I was a little child. Having a job where you get to be around the game you love every day is special.”
What is your favorite Myrtle Beach golf course and why?
“I think Tidewater is just a special place. The layout as a whole, the scenery and the pristine conditions all make it special. I think it is magnificent from when you first drive in. Prior to Myrtle Beach, I lived in Hilton Head and Tidewater reminds me of Hilton Head.
The staff is top-notch and they go the extra mile to keep the place in great condition.”
Why should someone take a golf trip?
“The golf here is so good. How many places in this world do you have 80 golf courses and people that work so hard in the industry to make golf so good? It is a special place with a lot of special people. And, the people that work here just want people to come see why Myrtle Beach is such a special place.”
Why should someone book through Condo World?
“I think Condo World is unique. We have such a great staff and everyone is so talented and incredible. We work very hard to study the market to make sure our rates for accommodations and golf are competitive. We have such a vast collection of properties all the way from Brunswick to Pawleys Plantation. I think we are unmatched – we’ve been around 33 years for a reason.”
What are some of your favorite suggestions for people to do off the golf course?
“Myrtle Beach has great dining options. Golfers come here and they want a good meal after a long day. North Myrtle has just blown up recently. There are a lot of really neat shows, water sports and dining options. Plus, Topgolf is coming and that will be really cool for golfers. The options are limitless for activities.”
Where is your favorite place to eat in the MB area and why?
“I have so many spots. I am a big fan of Joe’s Bar & Grill. It’s fun to sit out on the deck and have a few drinks during happy hour. You can always get a good meal there.”
Your Husband, Hugh, played 14 years professionally. Do you have a fun story from that time?
“I used to caddy for Hugh back in the day from time to time, much to his old-school father’s chagrin. Anyways, the year was 1999 – I believe. He was playing at Sedgefield Country Club on the then Buy.Com Tour (now Web.Com) Greensboro Open. He was playing great and I always read every putt. I never said a word unless he asked me for a read. We were on the last hole and he asked for a read. I gave him my opinion. He didn’t listen and saw something completely different. If he had gone with my read, he would have shot 63 instead of 64. Moral of the story – he should always listen!!! We still laugh about it to this day!”
