When you’re looking for places to go on New Year’s Eve there are many local events going on all over the Grand Strand area. The 2001 Nightclub at 920 Lake Arrowhead Rd., Myrtle Beach will have The Johnny Barker Project performing live beginning at 9:30 p.m. This 7-piece band has more than 40 years of musical experience and plays a variety of genres. There will be party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Come out to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet and Stroll by Candlelight on New Year’s Eve to see the gardens lit up by candlelight beginning at 6 p.m. The event will feature hand-lit candles and holiday lights carefully placed throughout the beautiful gardens. They’ll also have strolling musicians. The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Advanced purchase is required for tickets as the event has limited availability. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
Comedy Cabana’s New Year’s Eve Extravaganza will feature great laughs and fun surprises. Two shows are planned — one at 7:30 p.m. and the other at 10 p.m. Each show features an autographed photo of the evening’s comic and a gift certificate for a future show. The 10 p.m. event will host a champagne toast and a balloon drop. Comedians starring in the shows include Cooter Douglas, LA Hardy and Rob Brackenridge. Reservations are recommended.
