We want to remind you about some local events taking place over the next few days. Even if you’ve already purchased your Myrtle Beach golf packages you still might want to consider entering the tournament on Monday as it’s for a very good cause.
The Myrtle Beach Wine Festival is taking place at Market Common on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. There is free admission but all guests sampling must buy a Wine Fest tasting glass ($3) in order to sample over 120 wines (2 oz samples). There will be live entertainment and a variety of vendors as well.
On Monday, October 24, 2011, the Coastal Animal Rescue’s Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament will be held at Wachesaw Plantation Club. The tournament is limited to 100 players, registration includes greens fees, cart, goodie bags, on-course beverages, continental breakfast, lunch at the turn and hors d’oeuvres with a cash bar at the awards ceremony. Win a 2012 Nissan Murano Convertible from Grand Strand Nissan on the hole-in-one contest or win any of the great prizes, including restaurant gift cards, event tickets, and golf course passes. WPDE’s Ed Piotrowski and the CCU’s men golf team will be participating at the tournament. Fee is $125/player or $500 per team. Register on-line or call 843-651-2663 for more information.
